| Emmylou Harris was born in April, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama. Emmylou Harris spent much of her childhood in North Carolina. While in her teens, her family moved to Woodbridge, Virginia. Emmylou Harris graduated high school there as her class valedictorian. After Emmylou Harris won a dramatic scholarship at the University of North Carolina, she began to seriously study music. Emmylou Harris quit school and moved to New York. The Greenwich Village club circuit is where Emmylou Harris began her music career. Western Wall Tucson Sessions made the Top 20 Internet CD Sales. | |
