DirecTV in the Miller Lite Skybar at the American Airlines CenterDALLAS -- Oct. 4, 2001 -- The multi-year deal is a partnership with DIRECTV and will support the American Airlines Center, the Dallas Stars and the Dallas Mavericks. The Miller Lite Skybar is a destination within a destination for fans of the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks featuring a life-size Zamboni(TM) centerpiece and both hockey and basketball memorabilia. A life-size hockey bench, basketball hoop, and two hockey nets are located in the space as well as hockey and basketball-themed tables. Within the Miller Lite Sky Bar, fans can enjoy the DIRECTV® Experience -- the ultimate source for up to the minute sports action and information via the widest array of DIRECTV SPORTS(TM) programming, featured on 24 televisions, including six 42-inch flat, plasma screens. Also included is the capability for radio and television broadcasts before, during and after games. The Miller Lite Skybar will be the home of the Dallas Stars post-game radio show. Visitors to the Miller Lite Skybar also have a commanding view of the Dallas skyline and a bird's-eye view of American Airlines Center's outdoor courtyard located at the South entrance.
