Wynonna Judd on DirecTV

(11/29/00, 6 p.m. ET) - Wynonna Judd's pilgrimage to Venice, Italy, for the third episode of Music In High Places will premiere tomorrow (December 1) on DirecTV. The series takes entertainers to faraway lands to experience foreign cultures as well as to perform. Wynonna Judd's episode features the singer in acoustic performances outside Venetian canals, in front of the ancient 13th-century castle in the village of Fontanellato, and performing in the cathedral Basilica Di San Patronio. International singing star Zucchero performs alongside Judd during one segment.

Wynonna Judd says that although her career has afforded her the opportunity to travel to exotic locales and meet people from all walks of life, it has also taught her how to keep her successes and failures in perspective.

"You have to constantly balance between being in the world and not of it," Wynonna explains. "Spiritually, I know my gift came from God. I know that physically, I'm not a runway model, but I know I can sure kick some butt when I have to. And I look at all the things that I am and all the things that I am not, and I pick out the good things and I take those and let the rest go. I know what I am not and I have to, sort of, release that and not worry about that anymore."
