MDTV Installs DIRECTV in New Community

TOTOWA, NJ - February 22, 2001 - MDU Communications (USA) Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of MDU Communications International, Inc. (OTCBB: MDTV - news), has entered into an exclusive marketing and installation agreement with Trammell Crow Residential (TCR), a leading multi-family development company, for the provision of DIRECTV to one of its newest communities - the 339 unit Alexan Ryan's Corner in Ashburn, Virginia. Under the terms of the agreement, MDTV will be the preferred provider of television service to the property.

TCR, a national leader in the multi-family residential market, is developing 10,000 units annually and believes its success is due to comprehensive service offerings, a strong client focus and smart technology applications. "We are committed to offering the best in service to our residents. Alexan Ryan's Corner is a state-of-the-art rental community that offers residents premium telecommunications services. DIRECTV is particularly well-suited to this project and we're excited to work with MDU Communications to make this happen,'' stated Sean Caldwell, Development Associate for TCR.
