DIRECTV Adds WUAB (UPN) to Cleveland Local Channels

El Segundo, CA, Jul 13, 2000 --  DIRECTV, Inc. announced today that it will add WUAB (UPN) to its local channel lineup in the Cleveland designated market area (DMA).

Cleveland DIRECTV customers subscribing to the local channel package will begin receiving WUAB on Friday, July 14.

Customers in Cleveland can  receive the following channels:

  • WEWS (ABC)
  • WOIO (CBS)
  • WKYC (NBC)
  • WJW (FOX)
  • WUAB (UPN)

DIRECTV customers in Cleveland can subscribe to their local channel package for $5.99 per month. In addition to local broadcast network channels, a national PBS feed is included in each local channel package at no additional charge.

Local channels are delivered to DIRECTV customers in Cleveland from DIRECTV's primary orbital slot at 101 degrees West Longitude. DIRECTV customers can receive their local channels as well as DIRECTV's current lineup of national digital entertainment and information programming through their existing set-top box and 18-inch antenna.
