DISH Brings WB and UPN to Denver

LITTLETON, Colo.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Feb. 1, 2001-- EchoStar Communications Corporation is pleased to announce today that DISH Network(TM) has added the popular TV stations Denver's WB2 (KWGN-TV) and KTVD UPN20 to its lineup of local network offerings via satellite television in Denver for no additional charge.

Denver's WB2 (KWGN-TV, channel 2), offers complete Denver news coverage, with the only live and local newscast weekday mornings from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and the first late news coverage with WB2news@nine nightly. Denver's WB2 is not only the home of the WB network, but it also offers first-run syndication programming, including Friends, Spin City and coming this fall, Everybody Loves Raymond. Denver's WB2 is also the home of the Colorado Rockies, carrying 75 Major League Baseball games every season. The WB network features such hits as 7th Heaven, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dawson's Creek, Roswell, and new hits such as Sabrina and Gilmore Girls. KTVD UPN20, (Channel 20) is the broadcast home of the NHL's Colorado Avalanche and NBA's Denver Nuggets, as well as the new XFL football league premiering this week. UPN20 also features the final season of Star Trek Voyager. Other top shows include reality-based Arrest and Trial and Judge Judy. For young adults, UPN20 offers the hottest dating show on TV called Blind Date, as well as Sabrina The Teenage Witch for the kids. UPN20 also features box office hit movies and professional and college sports. DISH Network will offer KTVD UPN20 on channel 816.
