San Francisco and Nashville Stations Refuse Agreement with DISHLITTLETON, Colo. (dishnetwork.com) -- March, 31, 2001 -- The NBC station in San Francisco, KRON-TV, and the ABC station in Nashville, WKRN-TV, are refusing to allow DISH Network to provide their channels on reasonable terms. In compliance with the law, we [Dish Network] have done everything we can to reach retransmission agreements with these stations. Still, these two TV stations have refused to sign an agreement with DISH Network on reasonable terms. As a result, these two stations in the markets above are unavailable at this time. DISH Network sincerely apologizes for this inconvenience. Please note, these channels will automatically be turned back on, as soon as, each respective TV station allows us to do so. Customers impacted will NOT be charged for their network channel while their local TV stations keep their channel from them. In addition, DISH Network is offering a free antenna (with discounted professional installation) to customers whose local TV stations have refused to provide them ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX network programming. DISH Network will continue to fight for the rights of our customers.
